Skritter vs Chinese Trainer
Skritter vs Chinese Trainer: a handwriting specialist versus a full HSK study path. How to combine them.
Overview
Skritter vs Chinese Trainer is an easy split: Skritter wins strokes. Chinese Trainer wins the HSK study plan. Almost nobody who cares about both writing and passing should use only one.
Skritter is the specialist
Stroke order, recognition, and character decks. Reddit recommends it when hanzi is the main pain.
It will not give you a listening mock or a conversation tutor. That is not the job.
Chinese Trainer is the path
HSK vocabulary, flashcards, grammar, readings, and AI. Writing practice exists; it is not Skritter-grade stroke recognition.
Using both is coherent. Replacing Skritter with us if calligraphy is the goal is not.

Put it into practice
Keep Skritter for characters if it already works. Add Chinese Trainer for HSK lists, SRS, readings, and an AI tutor.
