About Chinese Trainer
Chinese Trainer is an independent study app for Mandarin: HSK-tagged lists, spaced repetition, and an AI tutor. It is not a test center. Official dates and registration live on Chinese Testing International.
Why Chinese Trainer exists
Many apps make studying Chinese feel fun until you want to pass the HSK, speak with confidence, or keep vocabulary. Then the gaps show: little structure by level, reviews that do not prioritize what matters, and little help when a sentence goes wrong.
This product comes from that frustration. The job is a clear path: lists aligned with HSK levels, a review queue that works, practice for listening and writing, and a tutor that knows your level.
We are not another streak game. The official six-level exam and the 2021 nine-band outline are different papers — see the HSK guides. Register only on chinesetest.cn. CLEC runs the framework.

Who it’s for (and who it’s not)
Chinese Trainer fits if you want to study Chinese with intention. If you only want a streak game, there are better options.

How we work
Chinese Trainer is an indie project. AI answers can be wrong. We iterate on real student feedback.
We are not trainchinese (trainchinese.com), the dictionary and flashcard apps from Molatra. This site is chinesetrainer.com.
We publish the roadmap and changelog honestly: what is live, what is next, and what may change priority.

I’m Javier Garcia Floriano, a developer and Mandarin learner. I built Chinese Trainer because I wanted a clear app for serious Mandarin study: well-organized HSK vocabulary, review that actually works, and an AI tutor that understands your level — not a generic chat. I design the product, content, and experience around the real routine of people studying between work, school, or other responsibilities. Questions, ideas, or collaboration — I read messages and reply.
